Trainer Highlight: Kimberly Aubuchon

Kimberly Aubuchon, one of our amazing personal trainers at MBS KW, shares a little about what got her started and what keeps her going in fitness. Check it out!

What was the inspiration for you to get into a healthy lifestyle?
In 2008, inspired by friends who were already living a healthy lifestyle, I decided to put down my beer and bean and cheese taco for weights and hired a trainer and started training for a bucket list half marathon. My life hasn’t been the same since. I lost weight, gained muscle and feel like I’m in the best shape of my life (so far).

What is the reason you do what you do as far as personal training?
I became a trainer because I wanted to inspire others the way being healthy has inspired me.

What are your hobbies?
I have a BFA in Studio Art and exhibit my artwork around Texas, direct the Friends of Government Canyon’s Recharge Trail Run coming up in November 2017, am the head coach for the San Antonio Road Runners Off-Road training program, volunteer for several organizations and enjoy traveling and spending time with my friends, family, and many cats.

What is your specialty in training?
Our fitness is important and something we should all enjoy. My aim is to create a positive and fun experience for clients while helping them achieve their goals. I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist (Oct. 2017), and a RRCA Certified Running Coach.
