Yoga Therapy

Yoga therapy is the personalized application of yoga tools—postures, breathing, and meditation—to improve physical and mental health. Often used to manage specific conditions like chronic pain, post-partum and post-surgical rehabilitation, anxiety, stress, or mobility issues, yoga therapy adapts the practices of Yoga to the needs of people with specific or persistent health problems. Trained and certified yoga therapists create tailored plans to treat the whole person. Yoga therapists often work in collaboration with, and with referrals by doctors of traditional and integrative medicine, physical therapists and mental health professionals.

Vibrational Sound Therapy

Sound therapy uses specific tones, frequencies, and vibrations (e.g., singing bowls, tuning forks, gongs) to promote deep relaxation, reduce stress, and improve physical and emotional health. It works by influencing brain activity and the nervous system to ease tension and alleviate conditions like tinnitus. In addition to the sound baths in our regular weekly class schedule, we can refer you to our favorite sound therapists for one-on-one sessions where therapeutic singing bowls are placed on or near the body to use vibrations to alleviate physical pain, tension, and blockages.

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing. It involves a practitioner placing their hands lightly on or just above a fully clothed person, aiming to guide “universal life force energy” to balance the body’s energy fields. It is considered a complementary, non-invasive therapy used alongside conventional medicine, and is not intended to replace medical treatment.

Meditation

Meditation is a practice for training attention, awareness, and emotional calm by focusing on the present moment, breath, or a mantra without judgment. It is a scientifically backed, accessible tool used to reduce stress, improve mental clarity, enhance physical health, and lower blood pressure.

Breathwork (Pranayama)

Pranayama is a meditative and therapeutic practice that involves techniques like deep diaphragmatic breathing, alternate nostril breathing, and humming bee breath to enhance lung capacity, reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and calm the mind. Pranayama bridges the mind and body, acting as a crucial tool in both traditional yoga and as a modern complementary approach for improving physical and mental health.
