Pattern Recognition:
Signal & Symmetry from South Texas
South Texas breeds pattern—light, heat, wind, and water urging forms toward symmetry. Using custom cameras and repeatable rule-sets, I record time as structure: slitscan figures, branching trees, moths drawn to light, snakes in congress, and photo-tessellations from the coast and brush country. Each work accumulates motion rather than freezing it; what moves becomes form, what rests dissolves. The images aren’t effects but behaviors made visible—a conversation between living systems and the instruments we build to see them.
